Nobel-Winning Writer’s Bio Claims Gay Sex Abuse

V.S. Naipaul, the winner of the 2001 Nobel Prize for Literature and author of the 1957 novel The Mystic Masseur and the Booker Prize-winning 1971 novel In A Free State, was sexually abused by a male cousin, claims a new biography of the writer.

The bio, set for U.K. publication this month, is called The World Is What It Is. biographer Patrick French reportedly has had access to all of Naipul’s papers, including the diaries of his late, long-suffering wife. Nobel-Winning Writer’s Bio Claims Gay Sex Abuse
