Mark Doty, author of Dog Years and Fire to Fire comes to American Shorts Reading Series in partnership with the Persad Center. Joining him onstage will be WYEP'S Rosemary Welsch and local composer Jeffrey Nytch reading from the best in gay literature. Following the reading, will be a screening of the 2008 Oscar winner for Best Documentary Short, Freeheld. Book signing, book selling and socializing will occur before the film, with music provided by Patrick Arena.
