Montana library votes to keep "Joy of Gay Sex"
The board of directors of the Lewis and Clark Library in Helena, Mont., voted down a proposal to remove "The Joy of Gay Sex" from the shelves. At a meeting on Tuesday, the board voted that the book should stay on the shelves with unrestricted access. The vote came after a resident complained that the book was "pornographic." YAY!
good news - how cool that it went OUR way for a change! (Yet how frustrating that these censorship battles continue...)
thanks for sharing about it,
Lee
Great book with tons of valuable information but not sure that I would want to keep it on the public shelves for anyone to see.
